Well, I'm not familiar with the educational system in Australia, but I know here in the states, not all private schools are religious in nature. Perhaps you should look for one that is secular in nature.

I would think that it depends on the school and the religion. We have a Lutheran school in our town, and anyone is welcome to attend. They pay tuition and they do attend religion classes.
You might want to look into what religion is running the school before enrolling your child. If you don't agree with the Catholic faith, you wouldn't want your children taught Catholicism. Same with Baptist, Mormon... whatever.
And not all private schools are run but churches. At least not in America.

I don't think it matters but it may depend on the religion. I went to a private first Baptist school when I was younger and my parents aren't religious at all and it wasn't an issue. I think that as long as you can afford it, they won't care.

I went to a private school that was "christian based" but I didn't have to prescribe to any religion or do anything special ...I was required to take a Bible class to graduate but I didn't mind - my family is not particularly religious..

it depends on if the private school is even a christian school or not. there are plenty of schools like mine that are private and not christian. my school is a performing arts school.

As long as you have the money, you can attend any private school you choose to.
