With my second son he kicked the instrument when the doctor pushed in to try and get him to move to see what the sex was. We found out that not only was it a boy, but a very aggressive one. Also, hearing the heartbeat will make you cry every time.

My favorite part was just seeing the baby moving. It was so neat to hear the heartbeat and see their little features. My babies were both really squirmy, wouldn't sit still, wouldn't cooperate to see their faces. It took the ultrasonagrapher almost 20 mins to get my oldest daughters profile. But it was worth the wait!!
Finding out what sex you are having is always fun. Both of my girls were being modest and wouldn't show us, so they had to do some fun work with the wand, but they finally saw what each of mine were- two girls.. not twins!!!
I love being the one to do an ultrasound. Seeing the baby, hearing the heartbeat and seeing the look on the parents faces. It's one of the best things about my job. But then I also have the mind set of a medical person, so I see a lot of clinical mumbo-jumbo that most people wouldn't see. Sometimes that isn't fun. I can look at an ultrasound and tell you what you are looking at without guessing. It takes the fun out of it some. But seeing your baby for the first time and knowing- finally- that it's really there is the best feeling in the world!!!

There are so many things I find exciting about having an ultrasound.
Checking that bubs is still OK is my main priority, and I get a rush of excitement when I know everything is fine.
I love seeing how much my little one has grown, and comparing it with previous ultrasounds.
I will be having another one on 10th June, and it's really exciting because that is when I will find out the gender of my baby!

The most exciting ultrasound experience was seeing and feeling my daughter move at the same time. It was amazing! It happened during my second ultrasound. I had just begun feeling what I thought was the baby, but I wasn't sure. The ultrasound confirmed it - she was busy in there and I could feel it. It was great!

Finding out the sex is the most exciting thing about the ultrasound. Hearing the heartbeat is the most exciting thing about your first visit.

I think just the reassurance that a life is beginning inside of you its a great feeling! I loved when with my first daughter, the two ultrasounds I had done, she had the hiccups and you could see her little body moving up and down. With this one, I've had to have a few ultrasounds done, and the coolest was on Monday, when we saw our baby girl sucking her thumb! it was the cutest!

Well when we did the first one I was only 10 weeks and it was cool to see how active she was. It looked like a tiny peanut bouncing around my uterus. When we did the second one I was 25 weeks and we got a better ultrasound machine. We found out she was a girl but the most excting part was seeing such a good picture of her face. They got her eyes, her nose and her lips very clearly. It kinda felt like opening your christmas present early. I cried my eyes out I was so happy..

just getting to see your child for the first time.. it really hits home that there is actually a tiny being inside your belly..because up until that point, (depending on when your first ultrasound is) you have had no sensation of anything in there, other than the fact that your belly is growing..Just wait until you feel the first little flutters...BEAUTIFUL!
