The mexican restuarant I am searching for may not actually be in the city of San Carlos. It would be close, either a short distance north or south. I am not familiar with how the city boundaries are along the strip or El Camino Real?
Thank you in advance for any assistance. I hope that someone from the SF Bay area will respond.

Yes, I live in Redwood City which borders San Carlos. The best Mexican restaurant I found is one called La Fiesta. This is a small family run place with good and satisfying portions. It is reasonably priced. If your heading south on El Camino you make a left on Broadway across from Sequoia High School. Follow till you hit the tracks and as you cross you'll see it right on the corner of Broadway and Marshall. It's a small hole in the wall but like I said you get fed here.

La Fondas is one of the oldest REAL mexican eateries in San Mateo my favorite all the way back to the 70's. Great food great price , wonderful people. Up and down El Camino from So. City to San Jose, there are about 500 Mex restaraunts.

Not one that stands out. But there is one in Belmont called Hola's in the Carlmont shopping center. If you are willing to travel further north, there is a really good one on El Camino in San Bruno called Don Picos. I give it the two thumbs up!

Head north to South City to "Mom is Cooking." Yep, that's the restaurant's name. It's near the Cow Palace. Moo. Good food.
