Would you have any memory of that previous life, if so, would it cause you to help the scientists and astronomers locate that planet to prove we are not alone?

I believe in reincarnation.In the buddhist theory,we maybe lived as an alien.I dont know if you will believe it or not but thats what my religion says.About any memory of that perivous life,keep searching hard,I believe you will find a people with it someday in the future

Yes. With yogic techniques it is very much possible to remember all your past lives. I personally know people who remember their past lives and have given enough still existing facts to prove it.
Guatama Buddha (an Indian yogi who lived 2,500 years ago and is the founder of Buddhism) has spoken in detail about his past lives to the point where he said that he started life as a single celled organism (remember the amoeba?). 2,500 years ago he even gave detailed explanation of the subatomic particles - millennia before the first microscopes were invented.
The point being that the human mind has tremendous capabilities which our modern science has not even begun to suspect. However in India the yogis have developed very accurate and scientific ways to develop and control these normally latent abilities.
Infact in Buddhism there are still techniques which can enable you to remember your past birth and carry on your spiritual practices from where you left them at the time of dying. Any number of Buddhist monks around the world are living testimony to this fact- a legacy of Gautum Buddha.

Honestly, if we were all reincarnated, we would not all be Napoleon, Cleopatra, or Marie Antoinnette. Most of us, for most of our past lives, would be dirt farmers. We would be born a squalling brat, live an illiterate, diseased, malnourished life, begat more squalling brats, and croak.
The poor and downtrodden outnumber the rich and memorable. Possibly the downside that most who believe in reincarnation don't want us thinking about.
