Is this a serious question? Why wasn't the US president impeached in WWII? How about Viet Nam or Korea? Sometimes war is a necessary evil. It's unfortunate, but true. The attack on the WTC in 1993 was enough to send us into Afghanistan, but we had a weak resolve and wanted to excuse the attack as a criminal act. Had we gone in then, the Sept 11 attack may have never happened. Instead, we just looked the other way. You may not like President Bush, but you have to admit he stands his ground (on most things) and doesn't let public opinion polls direct him. Look into a few things like the 1993 attack on the WTC. You'll see that in 1979 Jimmy Carter changed how we gather intelligence and how intelligence sharing between the CIA and FBI was restricted. This law was renewed by Bill Clinton in 1993 or 1994. Because of these acts, we were unable to protect ourselves adequately. Another thing, why wasn't Clinton impeached over Kosovo. I was there and I spent 2 tours in Afghanistan. I'll tell you this. Kosovo was a messed up deal. However, because the media is liberally biased, most of the bad stuff was never reported.

Simply put, because the invasion of Iraq was not illegal. Immoral, some think, but not illegal. Presidents can be impeached for committing crimes while in office. President Clinton, for example, was impeached for committing the crime of perjury. He said under oath that he did not have sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky, later famously proven to be untrue. This is what people are referring to in the bumper sticker that reads: "When Clinton lied, no one died." The implication is that Bush's reasons for invading Iraq were lies manufactured to make a case for the invasion. While I don't agree with the invasion and the subsequent conflict we're in now, and I strongly believe that some of the justification was based on faulty intelligence, President Bush did not lie under oath. No case for impeachment there. If you want to learn more about the impeachment process, you can check out the link to wikipedia I gave you.

The President is considered part of the EXECUTIVE BRANCH which has the power to declare war and lead the army. Bush can only be impeached if he does something really bad or uncontisutional, and declaring and leading a war isn't uncontstitution.
Declaring war is not considered bad enough to have him impeached because everyone has their own ideas on what BAD is, so it is contoversial.

Its not a impeachable offense by being the president during a war. Remember, Congress passes the authority to go to war, the president cant declare war himself.
I answer these questions all the time because people like you ask them without and educational background on politics. Do you know what it means to be impeached?
Get your facts then ask a legitimate questions involving the leader of our country.

An impeachment is a trial for high crimes and misdeameanors. Bush lied about the war but not under oath so it was not an impeachable crime. The Senate would have to try him and since the Senate is controlled by Repubs, it is unlikely he would be found guilty.

Have all presidents been impeached for going to war?

Why do you think he should be impeached?

Do you realize that Congress is the authority behind war declaration?

"Wars and that stuff"? How old are you? WAR IS NOT ILLEGAL, and I don't think "stuff" is an impeachable offense. I hope you are about 10, if you are any older this is truly a ridiculous question.
