It's called thrush. Sometimes babies get it, and it's a white film or crust inside the mouth. It's treated with an oral rinse of nystatin. Anyone can get it, though (not just babies).

Not sick at all. Yeast infections can occur many places on the body. Prime spots are warm, dark and moist. Often cause by taking antibiotics. Babies often get yeast infections on their bottoms after being on some form of penicillian for ear infections. In adults underarms, under breasts and on the inside of the thighs, inside the mouth and even inside the earw are prime spots for yeast. It has litle to do with personal cleanliness. Eating yogurt can be very helpful in avoiding yeast infections when you are taking antibiotics. Vaginal yeast infections occur more often in the individual who is diabetic. Increased sugar levels in the blood tend to facilitate this type of yeast infection. They is a medication called Diflucan that cures most yeast infections with only one does and a powder called Nystatin that can also be very effective for yeast infections the affect the skin. Both of these meds require a doctor's prescription. Hope this helps.

You sure can, it's called thrush and ifants also get it when they are born (baby girls sometimes get it in their vagina like a regular yeast infection), so the yeast is very transmittable. Your mom was right. Best wishes

Yes, it is called oral candida. A lot of times people call it thrush. Usually you use a medication called nystatin which you swish around in your mouth and then swallow it to kill the yeast. You don't only get it from the way you are thinking though.

Yes you can, but it is different than vaginal yeast infections. They form in the back of your throat and look like tiny white balls almost. They are soft and will eventually just fall of without you even knowing you had one. They are completely harmless and a lot of women get them without even knowing they have one. You could have one right now and not know.
