I'm not exactly a huge "Hair Metal" fan, but to musicfreak87002: I'm not sure that you can call a 20,000 seat amphitheater a "small venue." That's what Poison (who just released a "Hits" package which features some newly recorded material) and Cinderella are doing this summer. Also, the Crue's last tour (in support of their "Hits" package, which also featured a couple of brand new tracks) was one of the biggest (attendance-wise) in the past few years. So, it may just be nostalgia, but I'd have to say that "Hair Metal" still has plenty of fans.

several are still left, but most aren't putting any new material out. Hair Bands such as Motley Crue and Poison get back together for a while and perform at small venues around the US (or back to Hollywood) in order to pay the bills. Keep your ears open, you might hear some come back around.

lol, im with computer illiterate on this one. i love the hair bands, always makes me smile, so the music of my teenagehood. i too commandeer the sattelite radio on the car when im in usa and immediately tune it to the hair band station, much to the horror of my slightly younger better half, who is a huge tool/apc/todays rock fan.

Poison, Cinderella, Dokken, Slaughter, and Def Leppard are still together. Actually, I still Def Leppard just released a new CD recently.
