I have not found any current information. Has the movie come out yet? I don't know.

the movie that was going to come out in 2002 was put on indefinite hiatus due to various reasons. The Pini's wanted to do an animated version, the film company had had problems in the past with animation and wanted to do a live version, Pinis said no as well as a merger in the big world of money makers and film licencing.
The last piece of recent information found regarding ElfQuest, EQ, dates back to 2005, stating that DC now has control over any ElfQuest related movie making deals and DC had not fully earned the Pini's trust. The movie is still on hiatus.

Found this, appears it came out in '02. Don't remember anything ever being said on it and I have one of the books. *shrug*
