One way of improving you sense of smell is by blinding folding your eyes and using your other senses to know who or what may be there. Doing it this way please have someone help you. You can also improve your hearing, and touch. this was something we did in school back afew years ago.

If you smoke quit and it'll be better. Go out into the country side and take a wif. Smell that fresh country air. Burn some Hickory smells great. Smell a bunch of roses. Maybe you have a smell sensation problem. Check with a doctor if none of the above works. Good luck.

Don't try this at home, but the olfactory bulb region can be reached with a syringe, the neurons in the nasal passages are replaced at a very high rate. Introducing a mitogen or trophin would be possible: do not do this as we cannot control creation of nocioceptor neurons yet: do you want pain in your nose ? Wait a few years, it will become available.

Sometimes go without eating and that will improve your sense of smell. (drink plenty of water, and don't starve yourself at all). Also don't not eat until you get stomach pains.

It sounds a little weird, but I've found if I wet the end of my nose (around my nostrils), my sense of smell improves.
And why are you laughing?

Same as with any sense, really - you have to train your nose to improve it.
