the environment in the vagina is much easier for the organism to live in. In the man's penis the urine flushes out any possible entrant and it is more difficult for bacteria/viruses to get up through the tip of the penis. However in women the "hole" is wider and also its warmer and easier for organisms to get in. Also type of under-garments tend to encourage these same creatures...and therefore they live longer and are harder to kill

Because sex is rough on the vaginal canal and can tear easier than a penis. The tears allow the virual or bacterial (even protozoal) disease to enter. This is also why gay men who have anal sex are at an increased risk of STDs, especially because the anus is not well lubricated and not meant for those sorts of activities.

After sex men can urinate and push out alot of the woman's fluid which could carry std's. Women urinate from a different place than where the penis goes so they can't do this.
