My sister had a very similar problem, and the doctor prescribed her one month of birth control to regulate her period. After taking the pill for one month and getting her period when she was suppose to during the pill (during your sugar pills), her period never came back. It is not really normal to bleed that much, but is a lot more common than people know.

I should also let you know, that here in Canada, the depo shot is under serious review and my sister was eventually taken off of it at my doctor's recommendation. There have been tests done that show the depo could lead to osteoporosis if you have been on it for more than a year. Here, if you have been on it more than a year, they will make you have a bone scan to see if any damage has been done. I would ask your doctor about it and maybe consider going on the pill or another form of birth control.

Birth Control works if you follow the rules and take it consistently. It is more effective than just a condom. There are other forms out there, if you prefer, you could try Mirena or another form. Mirena is inserted by the dr, stays in place 5 years, and is more effective than pills or condoms. Tell him pulling out doesnt do any good, so he may as well relax, or stop having sex. The pill is pretty effective if followed correctly, so you can relax. If you're both still worried, you should look into other forms of protection, or make him wear a condom and you stay on the pill.

You need to see your gynecologist asap. However, I've experienced heavy periods that were equally heavy and as irregular and was regulated by birth control pills. But, see your gyn as it could also be a signal of some more serious problem.

You are not taking to the shot like you should. You definately need to talk to your doctor its not really normall. You need to get off the bc your on now. The shot can do so many things. It can cause you to not have any period it can regulate you or it can throw you off big time.

It is somewhat normal with the shot to have some bleeding, especially when you're first starting it. However, it is generally light and it comes and goes. Did you get the shot again, or just that one time? I'd talk to your gyno..

I don't know your age but you need to see a doctor. It doesn't look normal and you have to get physical.
