I believe I am pregnant. However it is still a week's wait until I will have missed my period. How effective and accurate will the blood work be?

IT DEPENDS ON HOW FAST THE CLINIC OR DOCTOR SENDS IT IN BUT WHEN I NEEDED IT DONE I WENT TO A WOMEN'S CLINIC AND THEY HAD THE RESULTS FOR ME THE NEXT MORNING. I GUESS IT ALL DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU HAVE IT DONE THOUGH. I HOPE I HELPED A LITTLE.

Blood work is far more accurate than the standard urine test.

It will show proof sooner. I took several urine tests and they showed I was not pregnant. I still felt that I was, so I went to the doctor and took a blood test and found out that I was 4 weeks pregnant and had been on the pill.

Blood work is much more accurate than urine testing and can be done as early as the first week to two weeks of conception.
Good Luck!!

well when i found out i was pregnant IT was like in 15 mins with blood work so it don't take long and you would most likely know if you took a blood test.
