When I hit the send button to send an email, I get the hourglass and it takes 2-3 minutes to send the email. I use Firefox and Yahoo email

if you are using outlook or outlook express, you can also change the settings, which are set to automatically send/receive only every 30 mins by default.

You mean for your emails to reach your recipient after you click send? Cuz that's a matter of how it gets relayed to its destination. If it takes a long time between you clicking send and it telling you that it's been sent, it could have something to do with your connection speed or your message size.

If you are sending pictures or a large attachment it will take longer than just regular email.

(btw, that's got to be better than snail mail) :)
