Try and contact your local Social Security office if you don't know the person it belongs to. You can usually find a telephone number in the "government section" of your local telephone book. If nothing else, contact the police station in your area, and they should be able to help you find the individual. With all of the potential for identity theft these days, the person it belongs to will really appreciate your honesty. Who knows you may even get a reward!!

You should turn it in to your local Social Security Office and they'll know how to get it back to it's owner.

You can return it to your local social security office. The person who lost it will have to report it lost or stolen and some point and will most likely end up calling there.

Return it to the Social Security office. You can look them up in the blue pages, call and get their address and drop it in the mail. Someone will be very grateful and you will have done your good deed for the day!!

Well I say have some respect and try by any means possible to contact the person and hand it back to them. You could try the police station or something. Good luck.
