Limewire is illegal under certain circumstances. I.E. When you download songs that don't have a license. But if you pay for the service (my friend says it costs a dollar a year), then it is legal. Most songs don't have a license so mostly everything you download will be illegal (I have never seen a legal download on it but there are some out there). But if you use it download your song(s) and then sign off as soon as your through that way it will be hard to track. Good luck!

It is not illegal unless you use it to violate a copyright, such as downloading movies, music or a book. Same thing as napster a few years ago. Foe sharing to get aroud buying the actual product.
For more details go to the limewire website and read the copyright warning section.

Only if you donwload compyrighted material,
lol there is nothing on there that has a license!
Everything on there is illegal, save the program to a disk and also get a tracks and privacy cleaner. That way no one can track you down!

You used to be able to download limited music, however, the price you paid was spyware and adware which automatically installed with the program. To avoid the spyware and the adware you had to pay for the service.

File sharing is by many considered to be illegal...(and in most countries is...)
But this is the way I look at it...
If one of your friends goes out and buys a cake and decides to "give" you a piece of it for free...should that be illegal?...
Or, should you "have to" go out and buy one for yourself just to have one piece...
