I live in Canada. We don't have a soccer team in the World Cup, so we just cheer for our native countries. Does the same thing happen in your country? For example, do you Americans cheer for the American team, or do you cheer for the country where your family history is?

I'm Australian, so I cheer for Australia, I have roots from China, but China doesn't play well at all, they did't make it for this world cup, they lost all their games in the last cup....so...*sigh*...... I also cheer for Italy, cause I used to watch a lot of Italian league, but i have no affiliation with Italy tho. I would also cheer for Brazil, Argentina, and Spain

I am American, but have my grandfather too thank for cheering on Mexico! As well as Italy and Argentina, since I have root there too.
I just can't seem too get into USA soccer for some reason.

I just cheer for the team, that I like best. I am cheering for Brazil, although I know, know one from Brazil, and I have know affiliation with Brazil, whats so ever. I just really like the way they play soccer.

i am Scottish .unfortunately Scotland did not qualify for this world cup so i am cheering for everybody that plays against England.but i think Argentina where great the other day and they will probably go on to win it

I was born in Argentina, so I always cheer for Argentina first, but my roots are in Spain, Italy, and Germany, so I cheer for them as well.

I am from spain, so I cheer for spain...I grew up lovin Ronaldo, I knew of him when he wasn't known so universaly so I root for brazil also, and since I live in the states I also root for the states.
