Why do people stereotype??? It so stupid why can't they just leave us alone????
oh and yea to people i''m stereotyped as an emo goth....grrr.....i hate that....What are you stereotyped as? Why do people stereotype??? JUST LEAVE US ALONE!!!!

i hate stereotypes too. the whole thing like "emo, goth" thats stuff is stupid. And actually i think the labels emo and goth have just become another fashion statement. Am i right? I hate stereotyping. In a way we are all equal and the same but in every other way we are ALL different. Thats the way its suppose to be be different well actually just be yourself! thats what i try and do. And "poser" oh i hate that term. I have been called a poser cuz i started likeing alt.rock and "emo" and harder rock music. Also my brother has called me emo and asked if i was going to turn goth. I hate those types questions. Stereotypes are bad no matter what! I bet they don't like being stereotyped and called emo or goth or posers either so why do they do it to us.

Insecurity is a biggie... people who aren't comfortable with theirselves like to pick on the people that are cool with being who they are. Stereotypes are so stupid. People need to grow up and quit it! I don't understand why people stereotype someone and then get enjoyment out of it? What is the point? Who really cares if you are black, white, green, purple... what ever! You have the right to do what ever you damn well please! Don't ever be afraid of who you are, and don't ever be afraid to tell those "stereotypers" to take a hike. We were put here on the freaking earth to be individuals, so go on be who you are. Everyone is unique and can express themselves in whatever way they want weather it is music, fashion, what color your hair or beliefs you believe in! You don't have to be a backstabbing, fake, stereotyping loser who can't find the heart to have a little respect for people. To you I wish you the best of luck...just remember what i told you. :)

People stereotype me as a goth it gets me pissed! I think they stereotype because they feel like everyone has to be classified and put into a category or else it will just feel so out of place to just leave them there hanging without a certain group they belong to or they my stereotype because they like to make fun of a certain group of people for kicks...

people like to believe the worst about people, its just the way we all are. Everyone does it in some way. Some are true. Unfortunately, most stereotypes are based on bad things.
I was never stereotyped in a group like that, so I made one up for myself.

I've been stereotyped as Sweet. Shy. Nice. Harmless. Pushover. Innocent. Teacher's Pet. Over-achiever.
Truth: just quiet. I keep to myself, don't talk much unless I have something to say, keep a lot of the negative feelings I have inside. So when I do open my mouth.... people get shocked at how honest and angry I can be. It always blows them away.

Most people just asume because the fact you dress differently then everyone else that in fact you are a bad person!! But people are going to say stuff untll they die!! So try not to care about what other people think because in the end it will drive you insane. you have a right to dress and act the way you want to. screw everyone else. because it takes a strong person to come out of their shell and be different . so just be glad that you aren't like the rest of society. you have your own character and use your own mind. who cares wether they like you or not. stand up for yourself and don't let them or anyone else get to you. people stereotype me to but they really don't know me so they don't have a right to say anything until they know who i really am. because just because someone dresses in all black doesn't mean that they worship the devil and that they are a bad person. people just had "different" and the people that stereo type are the ones that are insecure about who they are and are afriad to be their own person and dress how they really want too.

Stereotype is always consider a negative thing. Unfortunately there is some truth to stereotypes. If there was none, then there wouldn't be no such thing as stereotypes.

Hey hun, I think sterotyping is ridiculous also. People are people. There are so many layers to people that it's ridiculous to pigeon-hole them into a tiny little box of what they "are". Maybe we'll never know exactly why people stereotype, but unfortunately, it seems like human nature.

i hate it when people stereotype me goth, but the truth is that everyone stereotypes people whether they mean to not. it is just part of human nature just like judging is. i hate it but everyone does it.
