most men really don't care about the details. just ask him if he wants anything in particular. Then do the rest yourself. You can't make him be interested in the wedding part... Just set a date and do it.

Sounds as if he's not paying attention to what should be one of the most important days of his life!

Why isn't he paying attention? Why is he changing the conversation?

It's a hard thing to do but it sounds you need to find out WHY. It could be a sign of future things to come. Is this how he handles other important matters too?

Is this what you want in a man? Probably not.

Better now than later.

It may depend upon how soon you are to be married. If it's in the far future, who can blame him for not wanting to discuss it? Perhaps he's even changing his mind.

If it's all set to happen, it must be discussed to be completed.

Ask him if he still wants to marry. See if that doesn't lead to a discussion.

Sounds like you are a complete turn off to him. He obviously doesn't want to get married and can't figure out how to tell you. Just scrape together the pieces of your dignity and try to walk away gracefully. I know it will be hard, it is very embarassing for you. But hopefully someday someone will take an interest in you again....as men get older they usually get less choosey.

I don't understand?

Are you to be married or not?

Did you set a date, and is there a ring?

If those things haven't happened... then you are NOT engaged.

Now if those things HAVE happened... then WHY DISCUSS IT with the mean? It's the BRIDE'S DAY... do you really need his approval or opinions?

Why get married? Answer that question and then explain it to him. It's nothing more than a tax-status change. Girls want a ring and a supposed promise ...

You need to tell him straight out that you want to talk about the marriage. If he changes the subject you need to confront him about why he is changing the subject and refusing to talk about your marriage. He obviously is avoiding it for some reason - you just need to find out why. Tell him how important it is to you and that you need him to talk to you about the event.

You confront the behaviour and say it seems you are avoiding the conversation, here's your ring, call me if you change your mind.
