Because part of the deal was that Bush would pin 911 on him, and in return, Bin Laden would never get caught. Just do some research about the history and connections between OBL and the Bush Oil regime. God, people seem so unable to make the obvious connections.

And the same deal was made with Mullah Omar. Did you ever wonder why neither of these folks have been caught, yet we spend $500 billion dollars a year on defence and intelligence? Did you ever wonder how we conquered Afghanistan in a few weeks with 1 or 2 deaths? Puleezzze.

I'm surprised no one has pointed out the obvious.

Bin Laden has instructed his protectors to kill him immediately if there is an attempt to capture him.

I believe we know exactly where Bin Laden is, but are patiently waiting for that one time when he slips up and gives us a chance to nab him alive.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to say something that we all should realize. Can you imagine how frustrating it must be to be the President of the United States, and be criticized for things that the public does not understand?

Bush's popularity could skyrocket if he killed Bin Laden outright, but our country could gain so much if we captured him alive, so Bush selflessly endures low poll ratings because he wants to do what is best for the country.

I firmly believe the Russians helped Saddam Hussein move his WMDs to Syria. Read the link below. If this is true, imagine once again how frustrating it must be for Bush to know he's 100% right, but for purposes of international diplomacy, he can't embarrass or accuse Syria.

He didn't. The fact is that we know the general area Bin Laden is in. The problem is that it is an extremely mountainous region and not really conducive to search efforts. Plus half the area is in Pakistan, which the issue even more complicated.

Another factor is that during Clinton's administration, they severly cut the budget for foreign intelligence and since then we have had to start almost all over in developing the neccessary on-ground intelligence. With every new bit of information, we get closer.

Lets see, maybe the BinLadins and the Bushes partied together and all because of oil.ummm and we can find anyone in the world with our high tech technoology and all but it just happens that we cannot find one stupid camel jockey that is disturbing the whole desert floor.

No money in it, and we all know that is what Bush is after. How else can you describe the raise of the national deficit to all new highs. He has risen the National Debt more then any other president in US history.

if you look at the number of people that are looking for him vs. the number of people who are doing other things...

probably around 5,000 to 115,000 ("stabilizing" Iraq and Afghanistan)... he clearly isn't a priority...

If they put all 120,000 into looking for him... it would take about a week... but only a few looking for him, we probably won't ever find him... if he even is in Afghanistan... (experts think he's in Pakistan, where no Americans are)....

if I was him, I would be in Pakistan, no one to bother you there, plenty of time to plan the next attack while Bush is messing with Iraq... it's perfect for him..

because he was never looking for him in the first place. It was all a big excuse to rush into war with Sadam. We were so hurt by 9/11 that we just let him do anything.

Because if he found BL, he'd have to invent or find another "bad man" to rally the sheep to fight the "war" on terror, so it's useful to keep BL around...Actually, you're right, the best place to live if they're looking for you is right under or next to those people looking for you because that's the last place they'd think of looking.
