A parade in my honor
a cookie lasts 5 minutes at the most, is not good for you, and you will probably forget about it by tomorrow
A parade however is something you will most likely never forget
Instead of feeling guilty about eating something you shouldnt have because you know it is not good for you, you would feel proud, admired, and special during and after your parade

a cookie for sure, I love food, and I think cookies are more enduring and lovable. I do not like parades, I find them boring and a bunch of pomp and ceremony.
