Your question sounds pretty leading, if you ask me.
My guess is that most people are annoying by "know it alls" because they simply show their superiority over others. Often, it is not kind to flaunt what you "know," especially when it is not asked for.
Some people think that they always have the right answer, and people should listen to the advice that they give. They like to be heard. They crave attention.

Yeah I despise know it alls myself, I remember one such told me I should take a trip to Mexico and Scandinavia and I said I don't have the Money right now and if I go to Europe it is gonna have to be England since that is where my next of Kin in Europe lives.

I think know-it-alls are people who want to help and to fix things. Unfortunately, it comes across as like you think the other person is stupid to not have thought of the obvious. I catch myself being a know-it-all sometimes, but am trying to change that about myself.

Know-it-alls are insecure and don't know how to relax. They're trying to prove that they're somebody because they supposedly know a lot, while they don't know how to make friends through friendly conversation.

Know it alls are very insecure and use their KIA posture to try to improve their self-esteem (by feeling superior to other people, thus putting them down).

cuz if they know it all how are you supposed to figure anything out? finding things out for yourself makes the world fun and women don't know everything they juss knows lots about lots.

OMG I know, I work with one and even though she is super nice she just gets on my nerves...I hate that she thinks she knows everything...
