I, nor anyone in the house smokes. This is very bothersome, I'm not sure it is related to the cold. I may also have an infection. I have a hot spot on my upper gum (very small but hurts when I touch it). I have used both penicillin and amoxicillin but neither seemed to get rid of it. Otherwise I am 6'2", 180 lbs and in good shape.

Go and see a doctor and do not let him or her shoo you out of the office, get some tests done! It could be nothing or it could be a major infection!
