Egypt is very safe to travel to
1)no wars here (it doesn't seem there could be any wars in the near & midum future)
2)people are peacefull and freindly
3) people like forigner people
4)the egyptian police & security are quite well (actually most of times they amuse local people to ensure western people safety
5)believe me I'm egyptian living in my country(trust my words).

There's no war going on there now, but there have been a couple of terrorist attacks in tourist places in Egypt in the past few months. I think it's rather unlikely that you'll be involved in something like that though. Just try to stay away from places that are full of Israelis and Americans, they're popular targets for terrorist attacks.
I went to Egypt 2 years ago and I didn't have any problems. You just have to be careful and then it should be ok.

At the moment, no wars, although there has been some terrorist activity. The US State Department issues travel warnings and has a list of countries which it recommends that Americans not visit; Egypt is not on that list.

According to the US State Department, Egypt is not listed with a travel warning. However, that can quickly change. Check with them closer to your travel time.

no matter what is ur color or religion u r always welcomes in EGYPT
and stop talking S**** thing about a place u dont know
talking about bombs so i think no one will go to England 2 coz there was bombing before

god im white and british and been to egypt 3 times and am planning another trip in the nxt couple of months ive never had any problems here and also my children love it. you will enjoy every sec. and ive had nothing but good hospitality there.

Of course it is very safe. The police are everywhere to protect people and they are very friendly with tourists. Just try not to go to certain areas, just like in NYC

it is safe and nice and u will have real fun ...enjoy ur stay forget about the war ... go see the pyramids, luxor and aswan visit sharm el sheikh and alexandria aloooooooooooot of places to go...welcome to egypt

yahoo iam egyptian and i can tell u its safe now adays more that befor specially tourist areas u know all ppl know that they dont hate forigners who can to to egypt ..... u can ask ppl who come from germany .... ask them ........why u love egypt?...... they gonna tell what u dont know about egypt......
have u ever been to shrm el sheekh or orgada ? have u every seen thier pix in magazens or in web sites :) ? its lovely
