Definitely the Harry Potter series! But if I had to choose one, I would say "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire". I think it had just the right amount of suspense and action.

I've read Dave Pelzer's trilogy also - great books, such a sad story! For more (if you are ready to get the best read of your lives) check out ---> http://www.davepelzer.com
My favorite was "Be Like Mike" It is about the incredible work ethic and devotion of the world's greates athlete - MJ. Check the site:
Sometimes I dream
That he is me
You've got to see that's how I dream to be
I dream I move, I dream I groove
Like Mike
If I could Be Like Mike
Again I try
Just need to fly
For just one day if I could
Be that way
I dream I move
I dream I groove
Like Mike
If I could Be Like Mike

Wow I love the harry potter series because they are soo entertaining and they have lessons behind them.
A child called "it" is a very sad story but also an awesome book.
For me though, it might be "the Tao of Pooh" by Benjamin Hoff because it explains the basic principles of Taoism which is basically saying that things are the way they are and society comprises of cultures and organizations that are imposing the idea that everyone must work their life off just to get that "great reward." but what is the great reward?
that book is awesome

House of Leaves by Mark Danielewski ... the most compelling fiction I have ever read.
Second favourite: Waking the Dead by Scott Spencer. If you've seen the movie and love the movie, you'll love the book.
Both are about answers into our psyche, what is real and what is not, and both were hard to put down.

I'd have to agree with the Harry Potter books. They are the best out there. I also like all of Sarah Dessen's books. She deals with a lot of realistic teenage/young twenty's issues.

I liked a Child Called It and all the other series that he wrote. They were very sad. I cringed everytime I opened the book.
I also enjoyed reading, "Elvis and Me". I must have read it 100 times. One time even got to see it on Lifetime!! lol
Great movie, great book...

The picture of Dorian Grey, it was of good taste, and written to suite the Victorain and romance era, capturing the essence of both, and trluy shining light upon the gothic style of writing. A classic.

Dark Hunter novels by Sherrilyn Kenyon.
One of the best vampire-slaying novels around.
It has that sorta like Angel series ambiance.
Action + comedy + romance + mystery.
Couldn't be better.
Try one and you'll crave for the whole series.
