If you are learning to estimate then you can round 24.8% up to 25 which is 1/4. Round 285 pages up to 300, and what is 300/4?

75 , which is pretty close to d.

(I guess you should have rounded 285 down to 280, which is easy to divide by 4).

Multiply 285 pages by .248, the portion she's read. Will come out a little over 70, so d is the correct answer.

i answered one of your other questions. no offense or anything, but try getting a tutor or going online to a homework help site.
ps-the answer's d. 24.8% is about 25%, or 1/4. 1/4 of 280 is 70, so that's the answer.
