I wasn't going to reply until I read Lisa M.s reply.
I am not sure how anyone who lived thru 911 could feel that way.
I just remember thinking what went thru the minds of the people who jumped out of the top floors of the World Trade Center to avoid being burnt alive.
Or I wonder ow the spouses of the victims who got to talk to their loved ones on the phone as their plane plowed into buildings at 500 miles per hour.
It is that they are on the terrorists side, or that their attention span is so short they cant remember the 354 firemen who died trying to save Americans lives they had never met.
I thing Lisa M is selfish and a coward.

no. stupid united states. down the line after a very long while, people will look back and say how silly and pathetic this war looks and condemn silly and pathetic americans and american allies for supporting it. actually, very much like what people are doing NOW. war on "terror" but focus on iraq and their "diplomatic" tactics indeed. we all know what the us government is after. puh-lease.

also: i think the us government is using 9/11, people's fear of what might happen, and their need of "seeing something being done" to exploit people and gain support. a "war" on terror is unnecessary. there are other ways to make the world a better place other than spending so much on the military. history shows that the united states is a meddler and an opportunist. truth hurts i know.

if the war on terror has been around for so many years, decades, according to some, why did mr. bush have to "declare war" on "terror". the "invasion" of iraq, some have been calling it a war in iraq (take note it's "in" iraq not "against") is not and cannot be separate with the war on terror. dont be blind just because this country is getting a perceived upper hand at the expense of lives.

The Nazi party was only 4% of the German population when Hitler rose to power. He had everyone too scared to speak up. Just as the Muslim extremist do now. AS previously stated 95% of the billion Muslims are good god fearing people. they are afraid and justly so. They have families they love just as we do and want to protect them. Thousands of Iraqi police have been killed, yet the lines for a job as a policeman in Iraq stretch down the streets and around the corners. True heroism, risking they're lives just to apply for a job that they believe in. God bless America and the Iraqi people. The terrors avoided by they're and our sacrifices today are immeasurable. History will show that we are doing the right thing if the liberals would stop scrounging for power and just do the next right thing by supporting our leader whether republican or democrat.

"Terror" is a tactic. The war is against IslamoFacists. The 5% of Muslims who have fallen to the dark side started it. Unfortunately the 95% who could stop it are too afraid to speak up. Since the facists attacked Western Civilization, Western Civ has to find a way to ensure their defeat. It would be nice if the good Muslims would help.

Of course. If we didn't HAVE a war on terror, the extremists would see a gigantic, open, door - through which they could bring us to our knees. If we didn't support the war on terror, then we would be inviting danger over for a tea party.

support the war on terror

don't support the invasion of Iraq

They are two seperate things. We were attacked by people staging themselves out of Afganistan. No matter how much Bushco wants you to believe it, Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism, or 9/11.

I think a war on al-quada would be MUCH, MUCH, MUCH more effective at actually getting those that attacked us... I mean, right now we are in a country that has basically no links to the terrorists that attacked us and only few links to terrorists overall... I don't see how that's going to stop another attack...

I think we need to hit every al-quada stronghold and hard... we hit Afghanistan and stopped, we should have hit Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Indonesia as well... but maybe I'm just crazy actually wanting to focus on those that attacked us?

there is this "IslamoFacists" propaganda going around... can anyone tell me the last time that a "IslamoFacists" group other than al-quada attacked us on American soil?
If one group is BY FAR RESPONSIBLE FOR THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE ATTACKS... shouldn't we put the VAST MAJORITY OF THE FOCUS ON THEM?

The war in terror is seperate from the war in Iraq.

I seldom hear about the war on terror - it is overshadowed by beheadings, and tens of civilians killed, and tens of US troops killed in Iraq.

The war on terror was successfully fought for decades before the US invaded the middle east - I helped fight that war when I was in the military. We used intelligence, and we didn't use arrogance.

Yes I support the War on Terror that Islamic Fascist's started on 9-11 and I support our troops who will win. Why? Because they killed Americans and they will do it again unless we keep them on the run and kill them.

Yes I do , because we can't be held hostage by these non- GOD- fearing radicals . They have no respect for human life , not even their own .
But if your talking about the invasion of Iraq , that's another matter altogether . We have put our military in harms way . And have loosened the control of a dictator and allowed terror to spread throughout Iraq .
