maybe it is sleeping. I came home from a 2 day trip late at night and tried to feed my fish thinking they would be starving, but they didn't move, just as I started freaking out, my fiancee came in and said, "wake them up". He tapped the glass and they went nuts, as nuts as goldfish can go that is. LOL
