No. I thought it was for a long time but recently I found out that it was all Kayfabe (part of the on screen storyline). Earlier in the match, Owen Hart hit his signature move, the Enzeguri. This move is used a lot now but while Owen was alive, it was not that common. After michaels got up he pulled his collapse act. The WWE tried to say that the kick caused him to have a concussion.

WWE is known to take reality and make it the launch point of an angle. Just like the recent incident with Lilian Garcia and Charlie Haas.

Years ago, Michaels was attacked by a group of people who recognized him outside a bar and it put him out of action for months. Upon his return, he faced the late Owen Hart on a televised match in the ring where Michaels suddenly collapsed.

The collapse was the start of a storyline based on the incident outside the previously mentioned attack outside a bar.

The only thing I think you could be talking about wasn't real. If you watch the entire show you would have seen Stephanie McMahon put something in his water. When he came out to fight Shane McMahon he staggered and then later collapsed thus enabling Vince to come out and have Shane shove Shawn's face in Vince's butt so thus join Vince's "kiss my a** club" Other than that Shawn hasn't collapsed. (There was an angle worked with Ric Flair collapsing in WCW but I don't think they ever followed through with the storyline afterwards.)

Awhile back, he was actually beaten up in a fight outside of a bar. During a RAW match shortly after his return, it was said that he just shut down because of the trauma he endured and that there were other medical issues at hand. This was the story given and I am sticking to it.

If it's the occasion of his concussion, then the concussion was real. To explain his concussion(from a real bar fight) and his susequent absence from wrestling, the collapse was a "work" or scripted.

Wow, I didn't hear about that. Did it have anything to do with the current story? ...If not, I'd guess it was probably real...
