The last book I read was "State of Fear (Crichton, 2006)." SoF was informative, much better read than "Learning to Think Environmentally." L2TE was too much, "I feel this or that..." with no actual facts or references.
"Stupid White Men" was an uplifting experience during the
'unspoken' times back in the early '00s. S(tupid)WM was even more uplifting to me than the "Bible." Read the big B cover to cover. I grew up in Europe so when someone told me to "Read your Bible," I actually sat down over the course of a few days and read it during a summer holiday.
Most of those who say for their answer, "The Bible" either don't read regularly or have never read it cover to cover.

I do not recommend "Case for Christ." It all goes to author credentials.
True, Lee Strobel attended Yale and completed his degree as Masters of Law during his middle age years? You cannot even practice law with a degree such as Master of Law.
Hate to say it, but you Christians have been bamboozled by these padded credentials.

I Know This Much Is True, by Wally Lamb. It's a really interesting study of "mental stability".

Also, Beloved by Toni Morrison is pretty interesting.
