It's the first Disney movie that's not based on humans or animals, and there's not a single human in the movie. I haven't seen it yet, but that's what I read. And I heard it's fantastic.

Do you realize how many kids there are in the world? And they've all seen the commercial...LOL! They want to see it, they want to see the little talking car and if he wins the race or not. Beside that McDonald's are including Cars toys in the happy meals, just a reinforcement to see the movie. Disney in and of itself speaks volume to the kids, and to add Pixar to the movie is a plus. Kids remember that it from the same maker as Toy Story, and the other major movies put out by this maker. The kids want to see the movie and the parents want to make their children happy. Hence they go to the movies and keep it rated the top movie. And both the parents and the children leave happy, they always include a little humor for the adults, so they will want to see the movies (or at least not object to see the movies).

And it is not just geared for children.! If you watch it more than once...there is adult humor running throught out the entire movie...! Go see it again.!!!!

I don't think it's importance so much as Pixar knows the most important thing for a movie is telling a damn good story.

It looks super funny. Besides, Pixar films rock. They make it so that there's some adult humor too. They are good movies to take kids to, because adults can enjoy them too. Pixar rules!!!

It's because it's so good, not necessarily important. I"ve only seen the previews, but it's the best animated movie, so far. It hat one to 3 familiar voices. It's amusing and cute.

It took 4 years to make because of the type of animation used.

Little kids are out of school and like to go to movies ... parents have to take them and pay to get in. It doesn't have to be "important" to be entertaining, though I'll not be seeing it in the theater.
