Real friendship is "kindred spirits" who can be open and honest about WHO they are and not have to fear rejection or being laughed at. True friends last a lifetime, and in many cases, are CLOSER THAN A BROTHER. I have been blessed with many such friends who span 37 years ... through my moving out of state, marriage, etc. I feel at home with these friends whenever I am privileged to talk with them by email, telephone, or (better yet!) visit them in person. Whether I'm fat or thinner, gray-haired or dyed .... married or widowed .... I'm the same friend they've known and loved through the years. The same goes for me. They are the same beloved friends that I've cried with, rejoiced with, helped, and received advice from through the years. Real friendship wants what's best for the other, feels no jealousy, rejoices at their accomplishments, cries when they're in pain. I simply can't imagine living without true, faithful friends.

A real friendship is when your friend is open, honest, tells it like it is, and is always there to help you out whether you're depressed or sad. It's kind of like having another family member without all that annoying family stuff. =P
You also have to have fun with that person. If you say something, and they reply with an immature response, ditch them! They're supposed to be respectful.
With a real friendship, you also have the ability to share secrets and problems with no hassle and no stress =)
good luck!

There is 3 types of friendship:
Friends for a reason, a season, or a lifetime!!!
You can't describe real friendship because like talking about god each person has a different answer. To me I like compatibility, honesty, fun, and a shoulder. A shoulder to cry on or carry me home when I'm drunk!

Real friendship is when you trust that person with every detail of your life someone who knows how to make you smile when your sad somebody you know you can turn to when everything seems to be falling around you and when that person is angry with you it drives you crazy because you can't talk to them but you will find away to fix it because thier that important to you. A real friend is the person you can't imagine not seeing/talking to every day.

A friend that is there no matter what. Someone you can call in the middle of the night with a silly problem and they will listen. Someone there to pick up the pieces when you heart has been broken. Someone who would never judge you, never make you feel silly. Most of all someone you love and trust with all your heart.

it is when 2 ppl connect on a much higher level than normal.... they understand each other with out really having to agree on everything... they give each other the space to be who they are with out judgment or condemnation... they back each other up in hard times and rejoice during the good... they tell each other the truth and respect each others opinions....... they may get a little angry at times but they don't hold a grudge...... they love, respect, honor, trust and most of all they know each others secrets...... God bless

A friend will tell you what dumb things you did the night before, but your best friend will be in the drunk tank with you saying. " Wasn't that a wild night last night?"
