Mardy Collins
A combo guard with great size and a good skill set, he'd be a strong fit for a laker team if they don't give Smush Parker a long term deal. And speeking as a Laker fan, i hope they don't give Smush that long term deal.

marqueete SF steve novak the lakers nned some on who can take the scoring load off of kobe and he is 6 10 so he can be a tim thomas type with much better J

Strengths: At 6-10, Novak possesses terrific size for a small forward. His calling card in the NBA and easily his biggest strength lie in his shooting ability. Novak has been one of the best 3-point shooters in the country over the last four years, hitting 368 of his 793 attempts or 46.4 percent from behind the arc. His shooting mechanics are picture perfect, featuring a solid release point, an ultra quick release, and decent elevation on his jump shot. Mostly a one-dimensional spot-up shooter as an underclassmen, Novak has put in the necessary work over the past few years to expand his offensive arsenal and make himself more of a diverse threat. He is now fully capable of putting the ball on the floor for short dribbles to create the inch or two of daylight that he needs to get his shot off.

Weaknesses: While he is not a terrible athlete considering that he is 6-10, he is certainly not a speed demon in the open floor or a jumping-jack type. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say that he is a below average athlete for the NBA level. Novak will likely struggle staying in front of his man on the perimeter, although not for lack of effort. His lack of lateral quickness would probably put him in the doghouse of many NBA coaches who expect more from their role players. Possibly most concerning is the fact that he has a tendency to disappear from games all too often. His fantastic shooting percentages are undoubtedly a feather in his cap, but you often have to wonder why he doesn’t take more shots, especially when his team really needs him to?

Outlook: Novak is no sure-fire thing as his career will mostly depend on the type of system he is put in, the coach he plays for and the teammates he is next to, as well as his willingness to assert himself in the NBA. If the cards line up his way, Novak will have a long and fruitful career in the NBA as a hired gun who can spread the floor and change the flow of a playoff game with his incredible perimeter shooting ability.

Josh Boone
NBA Position: PF/C
College: Connecticut (Great winning program NBA factory, Rip Hamilton, Ray Allen, Emeka Okafor, etc.)
Class: Junior
Ht: 6-10
Wt: 237

The Lakers greatest need is a bigman to compliment Kobe and Odom. Boone is a long, explosive bigman, a true blue collar guy, does the dirty work to help his team win. Josh is a Phil Jackson type of player with a great attitude, plays hard, and wants to improve. Kobe Bryant needs more than Lamar Odom to help the Lakers reach the next level. Kwame Brown and Chris Mihm are not strong shot blockers or rebounders. Boone is strong defensively and an explosive leaper, with good timing and instincts on blocked shots. His giant wingspan gives him added size. he fights hard for rebounds, hustles for loose balls. He also has big strong hands, when he gets his hands on a rebound it's his. Has a big, strong frame and should be able to add another 5-10 pounds without losing much mobility, which allows for him to play power forward or center. Alonzo Mourning helped Miami win a title as a force inside for the Heat, blocking shots, power dunks, inside scoring and grabbing rebounds.

Boone runs the floor very well, and is excellent in the transition game. He's a winner with good vision and passing ability. Scores well around the basket, which compliments Kobe's game. Has a nice turnaround jump hook. Phill Jackson loves guys who know their roles, thrive in team ball and allow for the superstars to shine.

Josh boone knows his limitations offensively and plays to his strengths. He's the type of heady player that the Lakers need and Phil Jackson loves. He could be the type of player that helps restore the Lakers to the top of the pack in the West.

The Lakers don't need any additional shooters, Kobe (Kobe) (Kobe), Smush Parker and Odom are sufficient in that area.

Kevin Pittsnogle: He can help the lakers in the post and when they need a big shot kp will give it to them. Pittsnogle was also trained by one of the best college basketball coaches today. In JOHN BELIEIN's system no player is the star so that means he wont come in expecting imiediate playing time. He also wil,l be no trouble for the team.
