You might want to pick up the book "Am I Blue?: Coming Out from the Silence" by Marion Dane Bauer. It is a book of essays by teenagers and former teenagers about coming out to family and friends. I didn't read it until I was much older, but I wish I would have had this book at age 16.

take your time.. I would wait until after I moved out.

it all depends.. how homophobic are your parents?

i haven't come out to my parents that i am bi, but once they saw an IM and they FREAKED. I told them i was lying about it because that person was deppressed. I'll never come out to them tho.. that's probably a promise i will keep to myself.

anyways, some take it worse, some take it better. sometimes it depends on how homophobic your parents are, the subcultures, and so forth.

Good luck, and there's a site you can go to to hear a lot of stories and such.. www.teenhelp.org.. i've heard lots of stories, and have gotten a lot of help.
