Mosh Pitt's are pretty cool! I was in one at the Kid Rock Concert some time ago! A mosh pit is basically Tons of people standing around, pushing everyone to get to the front, body surfing, and being close (I mean like inches) to the person next to you! Be Prepared to be standing all night for the concert, be prepared for pushing, shoving, and people body surfing above you! Have a blas t- I know I loved it for my 1st experience!!

I was at a Fall Out Boy concert in April and the mosh pit was insane. I watched from a distance however. It was their biggest show on the tour.

Lots of kids being hauled off on stretchers, passing out or getting trampled. Yikes...

a mosh pit is a bunch of rockers throwing their arms and bodies at eachother while 'dancing' in a circular fashon. people get hurt, and its fun. Basically you just follow the circle throwing arms elbows and feet at people doing the same thing

Hold on Hold on. Ive been in a korn pit and Ive been in a sevendust pit. I've moshed around to Home by staind. My inital recation was Fall Out boy would be a poser pit. But hey think of it this way. The ideal setting for a mosh pit is you expressing your feeling for you music. Getting out the feelings and expressing your emotion while the band plays a song you can relate to and that makes you feel like jumping around letting out your energy. You wouldn't see me in a pit for epiphany or everything changes by staind. Just like I wouldnt mosh to grand theft autumn by Fall Out Boy. There music doesnt make me what to jump around and express myself that way. I like older Fall out Boy. I like Sataurday.... What do you think of when you hear that song? I think of swaying back and fourth with a lighter perhaps. But definetly not jumping around cracking a skull or letting out negative energy.

His voice is way to happy to mosh too. Especially in Sugar or dance dance. I would not wanna mosh to that. I feel you may sway your head or put your rock fist up to it if your a true fan... but I would not mosh to that music.

Despite all I have said... if you put on a fall out boy cd and want to jump around and get rough and just let yourself go... then mosh to it. Be yourself dont let yourself conform. And If you do then your a real fan. Dont look to your right and look to your left and see what that person is doing. Thats straight POSEr and straight LAME.

That would be a sh*tty mosh pit.
How about going to a real punk rock show.
Or hardcore.

You'll learn.

It's where people beat the crap out of each other in front of the stage. It's probably not for you.
