Of course he shall return. but many expert say it is not time yet.
On a purely scientific answer, the sun will become a red giant at some point in the future and will pretty much swallow everything to about the planet Mars.
But don't worry, you still have time for a nice dinner.

Jesus said...
"No one knows, however, when that day and hour will come---neither the angels in heaven nor the Son; the Father alone knows. The coming of the Son of Man will be like what happened in the time of Noah. In the days before the flood people ate and drank, men and women married, up to the very day Noah went into the boat; yet they did not realize what was happening until the flood came and swept them all away. That is how it will be when the Son of Man comes. At that time two men will be working in a field: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind. Two women will be at a mill grinding meal: one will be taken away, the other will be left behind. Watch out, then, because you do not know what day your Lord will come. If the owner of a house knew the time when the thief would come, you can be sure that he would stay awake and not let the thief break into his house. So then, you also must always be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you are not expecting him.
(Matthew 24:36-44) GNB

I know the answer to this question! Jesus will come for sure. We have no reason to doubt that because every other prophecy in the bible has been fulfilled so why would God not bring Jesus? He is returning to make it new....remember how it says that there will be a judgement of good and bad? Well Jesus will judge us and then make the world new. Not a NEW WORLD but clean the earth of impurities and go back to the original purpose....which is for perfect humans to rule all the animals and to worship Him. There will also be a resurrection of both the good and the bad....it says in the bible that they will both be raised to this new world and they will be judged over a thousand years of time...and that thousand years is Christ's Millenial Reign. Its alot to go into, but that is as far as I can go! my fingers hurt from typing!

If Jesus came back what about the Buddhist? Hindu? Muslims? Jews? Most of the world is NOT Jesus freaks, so you are under the impression your religion and your Savior is the only one to follow but others feel the same way about theirs (cept for Buddhists) Who is right and who is wrong? No way of knowing until you die and wouldn't it be a shame if we just winked out like a broken light bulb?
Keep the faith and don't spend so much time worrying about your afterlife ;)

The Bible says that he'll come like "a thief in the night"...No one can say when he'll come back with any certainty. So, stay tuned...

I believe he will come back, but I don't believe that only 140,000 people will go to heaven...
Jesus died for us, so all who believe will go...
