A virgin is "a person who has not experienced sexual intercourse." Tampon use has no bearing on whether or not you're a virgin.

That is not a weird question at all.

Tampons are the ideal solution for active girls who play sports and especially swim, and even for other girls they are MUCH more comfortable than pads, they are cleaner than pads, and much more environmentally friendly than pads.

Tampons do not hurt, and they are not at all uncomfortable, though sometimes girls are a little bit uncomfortable with the idea of inserting them at first.

One way to get past your fear of using a tampon, is to become better acquainted with yourself. Some time when you are not on your period, but before your next period, and when you have some time to be alone, take a few minutes to explore and see what the whole area is about. This is something that is essential for any girl.

Get comfortable, use a hand mirror, and with your other hand spread yourself open and look around. It is not dirty, or ugly, or wrong in any way, it is your body, you should know what it is about and how it works. When you are comfortable, slip a finger inside a few inches.

Next time you have a period, you will be ready to give a tampon a try, and will have a good idea what sort of experience to expect. It is different, but it is not bad. Honestly a tampon is WAY better than a pad ever was. Don’t feel bad if you don’t get it quite right the first few times you try it – it can take a bit of practice. Just keep trying until you get it right. When it is right you won’t be able to feel it at all.

Using a tampon with an applicator is easier at first, but I think the OB without the applicator is easier, more comfy to put in, and much better for the environment. You will have to pick for yourself.

Which ever one you get, follow the instructions on the box, and do not leave it in for longer than the instructions say is safe.

Popping your cherry, or more accurately breaking your hymen can happen in a number of ways – most of which have absolutely nothing to do with sex.

The hymen is simply a bit of thin skin like material that partially covers your vaginal opening. If you rode a bike a lot as a kid, or fell off of a bike, rode horses, or any of a number of other activities, the thin membrane can be torn, or completely gone without anyone ever knowing about it. Some times it happens with tampon usage, or through masturbation.

In any case – yes, it is absolutely possible that you can “pop your own cherry” – but that doesn’t mean that you are not a virgin.

That depends on how closely you want to interrupt virgin. For a literal definition, no you are not. A more liberal interpretation would say yes since you haven't engaged in any sexual activity. Many questions here are posted regarding the hymen. For modern young females the hymen seldom exist by the time they are sexually active. Sports activities, bike riding and tampon use have already stretch the hymen and it just isn't an issue for concern. As for the earlier answer posted I think you need a textbook and some pictures. The tampon goes into the vagina, the uterus cannot be accessed not to mention the common the belief that the outer genitalia of the female is the vagina, that is called the labia.

unless your tampon is 5-6 inches long and 1-2 inches wide, then yes you are still a virgin, the tampons used by the majority of women are not that large. for example, a playtex tampon is not big enough to penetrate you in the was a penis would. therefore you are still a virgin. also i don't really believe virginity can be lost to an inatimate abject. losing one's virginity involes sex

Of course you are. Virgin means you haven't had intercourse. Even horseback riding can break a hymen. You have access to medical sites on the web, get yourself a sex-ed site.
There are surrogate mothers who are technical virgins and women who had some pretty heavy petting (without intercourse) have found themselves pregnant. So much for a lot of theory's.
I hope this helps. Good luck!

NO, NO, NO. anything that goes into yourself that has not been touched before tears the lining of your uterus, so for your question , you are no longer a virgin.
