At present a computer is only as smart as its programmers, so the answer to your question would be no...humans who program the computer, create the parameters, and feed information would ultimately be the decision makers because the computer would only have the information offered.

None of the sciences that claim to explain things like man's motivations, economic theory, patterns of behavior in crises and so on have a real good track record of predicting future events.
Without some way of doing that more accurately, what would you program the computer to do?
Some "scientific" solutions to human problems have led to things like the sterilization of "defective" people, forced lobotomies, perceived racial superiority and genocide.
I think we ought to avoid going there until we are pretty darned certain we know what we're doing. And, in fact, with 6 billion of us, I don't think we'll ~ever~ agree that we know enough.

not the current society - computer can only do things if human know how to do them, and can explain it in great detail. Even then, computers have hard time dealing with unexpected situations.
And on top of that, do you really think this bunch of politicians, activists and lobbyists would just give up their jobs?
