I KNOW that it still is! I loved the game and so do my kids. I wasted many an hour in front of my TV playing it! When I beat Ganandorf I thought I was a goddess!

It is definitely one of the best games ever, but no longer that best. It came out in 1998, real old. That time there was no PS2 or XBox or GameCube. At present time, world of game has tremendously advanced. Half Life 2, Resident evil 4, Halo 2, Metal Gear Solid - these games surely superseded any Zelda game.
IGN did a massive survey to find out the best game of all time. Capcom's Resident Evil 4 won 1st place.

That's one of the good ones but I think Majora's Mask is better and The Zelda from Nintendo Wii will be the best of all time

i do think that zelda: ocarine of time is the greates zelda game , even if i didnt have one copy but my friend did do i play it a lot but try to see the new zelda game for nintendo revolution

Definitely one of the TOP 10 GAMES EVER. Super Smash Bros. all the Mario Party games are right up there with it.

I really like it. Also I like very much The Wind Waker and Four Sword Adventures for Gamecube. I'm waiting for Twilight Princess, I hope the wait was worth.
