It depends what you are looking for. There are legal aid attorneys available in just about every state and county to aid with domestic violence, divorce and family situations. Get in touch with your local family court or district attorneys office and ask them about a public defender or a list of local attorneys that do pro bono work for your county/state.

Call a local Family solicitor - someone who deals with family issues and separation, divorce etc. They should be able to advise whether they think you will qualify for Legal Aid - though it does sound as though your daughter would. They take into account earnings - and I think I'm right in saying it goes on the individual not the household - the amount that the mortgage is and how many children there are etc. The solicitor - or probably even the receptionist - will be able to advise and they will help you fill out the forms. I initially made an appointment with a solicitor and they advised me fully on Legal Aid and helped fill out the forms and everything. Best wishes x

Try Legal Aid. They sometimes do pro-bono/free or low cost work for low income families or singles.

Yeah, Legal Aid------- contact your local welfare office and they should be able to put you in contact with Legal Aid. Good luck.

Neither can I. I make $79.00 over the limit to get Government help! It stinks! Go to your City Council, ask for help!
