One great disadvantage is that you can't hold a conversation with the internet. If you are using a site that lets you hear the word as you learn it, that is good.
An advantage is that if you don't have any other means to learn English, the internet has several resources or this, and many of them are free.

The advantage is that the Internet has huge amount of information that you can choose what you want.
Disadvatage is that few is free!
Learning English by Internet can be good, but you don't know how well you learnt and it's lack of interaction, thiat is quite different from how teachers in school taught you.

the advantage is its there in front of you and you dont have to come hear but the disadvantage is that you will not learn in what context to put different words so they say what you mean.would you learn when a English person is being sarcastic.

It is in my opinion that the positive aspects of integrating computers in writing instruction in classrooms far out weigh the negative aspects. The computer as a tutor for instance may be used to provide drill and practice exercises to teach and test factual information and to develop mastery skills. Good examples of the computer used in this mode are that it can be tailored to the individual needs of students, can provide diagnostic information as well as keep records of all student learning, always provides positive reinforcement, and, of course, is infinitely patient.

You might learn how to spell well, but you won't get down your speaking, which is what really matters.
