Why are so many on the Antiwar side some of the most hate filled individuals?

I understand that not all people who are antiwar are hate filled, so if this is not like you, and you are antiwar please take no offense.

I think I understand your question, even though it is kind of stated strangely.
I'd say that what you are seeing are angry individuals who have found a direction for their frustrations. While they may not have any actual reasons, except vague ideas, media hype, and their own off beat understanding, they find listeners when doing it from a political perspective. I believe they find some sort of odd validation for whatever in their makeup has left them so angry at life.
Screaming about the "horrible war we have thrust upon poor unsuspecting countries" is a great slogan for their anger. Yet, most of those most angry, probably know little more than the average citizen. Certianly nothing to have given them some legitimate reason for anger at the state, and its doubtful that the vast majority of them are that much of a patriot, or have lost some supremely valuable object that fuels that anger.

No, most of the angry, were angry before they had a focal point like the war.

Well, be careful what you ask for because you just might get it ;)

In this case, you are reading the words of a leftie - that is, I am a treehuggin', pot-smokin', porn-watchin' hippie, y'know, the kind that Todd Snider sang about in his country song (probably not the same kind of country music you listen to, though).

Now, don't take offense at this, but I've come across far more hate rhetoric on the far right. Have you ever heard of Ann Coulter & Fred Phelps? Do you think they promote love or hate?

You might think we're even "unpatriotic" for not falling into step with the current Bush administration's policies.

Rest assured that we do indeed love our country, and that's why we're speaking out. If we didn't care, we'd say things like "I'm not INTO politics" & we wouldn't vote.

Those who protest, who speak out against issues & policies we feel are unjust, do so out of a sense of commitment, loyalty & love for our fellow human beings. Where is the hate in that? Where is the hate in asking that the killing STOP? Why is it wrong to insist that we support our troops by bringing them home NOW?

Many of them are frustrated with being told they don't support the troops.

This war is a pointless war. And, its a war that can't be won. Someday, the US will leave Iraq, just like they left Vietnam. But, it will return to the chaos that was there when the British left (just like Vietnam returned to the chaos that was there when the French left.)

The world does not want to be like the US, and some people know that. They are tired, frustrated, and angry that some other pinhead can sacrifice their kin, spend their wealth, and blemish their good name by forcing US values on people who don't want it -- all under the guise of lies like "WMD's" and "Saddham's partnership with Bin Laden."

The US is the wealthiest country in the world. The financial influence lead to Cuba's revolt. Cuba didn't want to be the United State's prostitute - they had higher values than making a buck at any moral cost.

The middle east had their values - North Korea, Vietnam, China didn't want to be like the US - they had other values and morals.

Now, the US is forcing its values on the Middle East.

Why can't the US learn? The anti-war people are just tired of closed-minded, arrogant, religious zealots using their good names in a pointless war against Arabs.

This is not a war against terrorism. Its a war to make rich americans richer, and poor americans soldiers.

Name someone who is hate filled on the anti-war side?

Name someone more hateful than Ann Coulter. That woman is the poster babe of hate.

What I don't understand are the anti-war Americans who want America TO LOSE THE WAR!!!! They want as many dead U.S. soldiers as possible!

Sorry, I just don't get it.
