NASCAR FANS are like a big family, if you need something at the track, & someone has extra, it is givin to ya', no matter who you root for...........I don't think the people in England have the knowledge of the stock car's capabilities......TOO MUCH OPEN WHEEL......For NASCAR you need to understand drafting, wedge, tire pressure, 100 MPH tape...ETC to really understand it................GLAD YOU ENJOYED YOURSELF, GOOD LUCK...............NASCAR # 1....

I live in England and work closely with pro racing.
I was just out at Silverstone vending over the weekend for the D1 drift grand prix I can tell you race fans here don't think NASCAR is boring I am watching it on TV right now channel 5 nextel NASCAR series and Indy racing is just coming on.
It is just a very vocal minority but these are the same Wankers who get into football fights and don't think the US did anything to help win the first or second world war.
The educated types over here watch NHL ice hockey, the Superbowl, and get all charged up watching NASCAR, and NHRA.
I sell to all kinds of racing from LMES to TT I am in pit lane several times per month.
With all my experience in pro racing LMES and NHRA are the top of the sport.
Top fuel drag 7000 BHP shredding track and blasting from 0-330mph man that is impressive.
LMES to hold and average speed of 180mph for 24 hours straight, that is engineering and driving at it peak
C'mon they have made a 200mph diesel 0-100 in 3 seconds in a Diesel LMES is where innovations in car design come from.
They do the R&D a few years later you will be driving it.
We all have Carol Shelby to thank for that.
Go team Creation (American team based in the UK)
I am Bias I love cars and racing for me it doesn't matter if it goes fast I love to watch.
I helped Eugene Carbide saw build a NASCAR out of a ZR1 and used to drag my 70 hemi Cuda and now am learning to drift with Team Kyoudai all fuel powered insanity is great!!!!!!
They even have a NASCAR racing here in the UK at Brands Hatch race way and they will be doing it at Castle Donington there is a big following for NASCAR here.
Brits love racing as much maybe even a bit more then the US.
Pay no attention to those idiots, they are just yank haters and will bad mouth anything American.
Or send them my way for a swift kick in the Nuts.

Oh my gosh, I am so happy you said you liked it!! Thank you!!!!! It is more than often that Brittish people bad mouth NASCAR on this site. I am an American who enjoys the sport, but does not support the stereotypes associated with it. Anybody can love nascar, from anywhere in the world. Thank you for reminding us that!

for the most part i don't think it's the brits who come in here and bad mouth NASCAR, i thinks it's a bunch of narrow minded yankees from right here in america. they can't understand how something that doesn't involve a stick or ball could be a sport. but as the TV ratings will attest, more and more of them are opening up their minds and their hearts to this incredably exciting and strategic sport.

NASCAR was invented to part as many saps as possible from their hard earned cash in a nation of spectators. If you would rather do something its as boring as hell. Probably more 'exciting' to watch a hamster running round his (or her) wheel
