you can try to drop the tank and empty it, but thats going to be a huge hastle, the easiest way to do it is to remove the bed. Don't be scared its not as big a job as most people think. There are 6 bolts on the bed remove them by using a T55or a T50 torqes bit or star bit, then unplug 2 wire harness from under the bed found near the spair tire, then remove 3 screws that hold th filler neck in place (where you put the gas nozzle when u pump) Then gab a 6 pack and call a friend(to help remove the bed. You can take it off your self but its easier with a second peson0. Remove the filler neck hose and siphon away. It looks like alot but trust me its not, and youll save yourself alot of time and money. It takes a total of 1 hour at the most. Oh and invest in a can of wd-40 or my fav pb blaster for any rusted bolts that need to be removed.

Spend 30 bucks on an electric fuel pump. Wire it up to your car battery with a long wire or jumper cables, tie the input to the rubber hose next to the gas tank, then put some fuel line on the output to a fuel can and fire up the pump. It will take the pump a minute and you may even need to prime it a little, but it will work like a charm.

get yourself a hose and siphon it out as well as you can. then remove the tank and pour out the rest. dispose of gas in a safe and proper manner. caution: if it's been sitting that long, there could be rust inside, and this will cause problems until you deal with it. the only way to properly "deal with it" is to have the tank boiled out. locally, i took mine to a radiator repair firm. they have the tank to boil it out. doesn't cost much, certainly less than constant carburetor and fuel line repair. good luck.
