is pulling in Spokane, Wa.? There's a little restaurant called Sonic Burrito here and they've been in business for quite a while. Sonic Burger moved into town last month and they're now sueing for rights to the name "Sonic". Rather than fight, little Sonic Burrito is giving up the name and changing all their signage and menus. What do you think of this?

typical of big corporations running down mom and pop shops. It's a damn shame.

In my neighborhood, this family owned coffee shop is being replaced with Starbucks. Enough said.

Sonic has been around forever. They obviously have a copywrite on the name "Sonic" or the burrito place would not be bowing down. Had the burrito restaurant properly marketed themselves they too would be a major player. Sonic is not responsible for other restaurants lack of research and planning. I don't consider it "bullying" as you stated but merly protecting it's (Sonic) nameright. Just because a business is new to an area doesn't give other businesses rights to infringe on certain names or brands.
