If you soak your fingertips long enough, YES, remover with acetone will weaken the bond. If you don't want to wrestle with them and damage your natural nails any more than you have to, you should go with straight acetone. Waiting another day might not be such a bad idea.

you're suppose to just get a cotton ball and put acetone on it and rub it off, you don't just soak it in there... or am i reading your question wrong? :/ another way is to paint a new coat of nail polish on whatever sectoin you need to come off, let that new coat soak into the old coat for about 2-3 min, then wipe it off. this doesnt fully get it off, but it gets some/most of it.

try not to pull at them. Use the acetone straight or it will damage your nail bed.

yes, you can use it to take off your nail tips. acetone is faster, but i have no idea if straight acetone is cheaper. this may come into consideration.

It will soften the tips, but straight acetone will dissolve them.

yes, just soak them awhile and they will come right off. Don't pull them off or peel them before it is time. You do that and you take the first layer of your own nail with you and thus......thin your nails out really thin. Do it right, take your time.
