I'm pregnant with my second child and I experienced severe fatigue starting around 14 weeks. I couldn't believe how tired I always was and definitely did not remember being that tired with my first. I was even anemic with my first, but not with this one. I asked my doc about it and she said that it is completely normal, especially when you have other children to care for. Most mothers will agree that you can't always sleep when you need to, so my doc suggested at least resting as much as possible. Put your feet up and watch a movie with the kids. Let the housework go a little longer and remember not to push yourself too hard. I'd love to tell you that it will go away when you're further along, but I'm now 30 weeks and still pretty tired. It has gotten slightly better, but I still find myself ready to doze off soon after I have woken up. I have found that drinking lots of water and eating a lot of fruit, or even mainly really healthy stuff, has helped a little bit with my energy. Try these things and if you don't seem to feel better, you might want to mention it to your doctor to see what they suggest. Good Luck and congrats on the new addition!

Well severe fatigue is really very normal and since you are taking care of 2 other little ones, I'd say you're right on track....try to squeeze in an extra nap a day....it shouldn't last much longer....congrats and good luck

You should ask your doctor about anemia! Lots of women experience anemia during pregnancy which can cause severe fatigue. However, your best bet is always always notify your doctor of any changes in your body! Are you eating healty as well?

You could possibly be slightly anemic ask your doctor to test for anemia and they may recommend a high iron diet or over the counter iron supplements. I have the same problem and the iron pills make me poop black.. kinda gross but it seems to be helping with my chronic fatigue

Well, having 2 kids already is enough to make anyone tired! But have your doctor check your iron level, you could be anemic. Make sure you are resting as much as possible and taking your prenatal vitamins. Good luck!

I have had that problem my whole pregnancy. Talk to your doc about the possibility of you having anemia (thats what I have). Don't worry, it won't harm the baby, the doc will just put you on an iron supplement.

Good luck and congrats!

I've never been pregnant, but I would assume that fatigue is a normal symptom.

Women often become anemic during pregnancy (not enough iron). I had to take iron supplements with baby #2. Go to your dr. and get him to test your iron levels. :)
