I really reallly suggest you don't squeeze it, but if you absolutely MUST then follow these guidelines: http://www.acnetreatmentdata.com/popping-zits.html
If it is just one zit I normally put some tea tree oil on it - that should clear it up. For longer term advice on how to deal with acne I would look at some of the articles on the website just mentioned, as there is some good advice on how to cleanse, tone and moisturize, and the acne treatments that are available.
One zit is not the end of the world, but I know how annoying and embarrassing it can be. Hope this helped.

Attacking Acne
Acne is the result of an infected whitehead. Bacteria manage to get trapped underneath your skin and then cause an infection. The best way to treat acne is by applying a cream or ointment with a drying agent like benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. These can be found in a number of products at your local drugstore.
Time To See The Dermatologist
If you have tried several products and acne removal techniques with no results, it's probably time to see a dermatologist. They can assess your skin condition and might have to prescribe special medication for your acne problem. Remember that you are not going to see results within days of using any particular treatment, so do give things a chance before rushing off to see a doc.

Popping can leave scars. Don't do it. Cover the zit with a dab of honey and place a Band-Aid over it. Honey kills the bacteria, keeps the skin sterile and speeds healing. Works overnight.
Really. ProActive can work for some people as one answer suggested. But it takes weeks.

Apply some toothpaste and leave it overnight. The contents of the toothpaste help fight off the bacteria that causes the zit. By morning, rinse and repeat as needed until the zit is gone.

Overnight, dab a smal amount of toothpaste onto your zit. The next morning it is smaller. It doesn't completely dissapear. But it appears smaller. The toothpaste has some mint stuff in it that shrinks it. Hope this helps!

i have that problem too! i have tried EVERYTHING! even the toothpaste thing but i finally found something that works... at night right when you go to bed, put a dime sized blob of shaving cream on it. when you get up wait 10 min and wash the shaving cream off and it will be gone! i have been doing this for a year now and i havent had to show up to work w/ one zit!
good luck

I heard popping a zit is bad because it spreads germs. Try face washing your face twice a day or try proactive. Also, washing your face more than twice a day is bad for you because it causes microscopic cuts that actually let in more germs that casue more zits. So don't over do it.

Wash it twice a day, and don't touch your face if your hands are dirty. Lay off of a lot of sweet stuff until the zit is gone.
If that doesn't work, see your dermatologist (sp?)

somebody told me to put toothpaste on them before you go to bed. I don't have zits so I don't know if it actually works.
