I saw a special about this on Animal Planet once... I think it was one of Jeff Corwins shows. The show wasn't about Anacondas specifically it was about general ecology and indigenous wildlife in the Florida keys. Anyhow the park ranger or conservation agent Corwin was with spotted a large snake that had killed and was still wrapped around a small alligator (4-5ft) in the shallows on the edge of a swampy area. Then they talked about it on camera a few mins. and said that people were releasing these alien species into the Florida wilds and due to the southerly location and climate the snakes were absolutely thriving there... They also said they were exterminating the alien species on site as they found them (Florida conservation dept) but they didn't let you know what happened to the snake that they had found on camera that day...

They are not a native species in Florida, but a lot of people buy exotic snakes and when they get too big, they let them loose.
It's a possibility.

probably.. there's all sorts of crazy exotic wildflife running loose in florida... people buy these things and then they escape or they let them loose cause they get too big and can't take them anywhere without getting busted for having some kind of illegal exotic wildlife...
