I never took the parents away, so both parents were there to take care of them... Im asking if I AM SUPPOSED TO SEPERATE THEM ;) ?

Is that why they ate the eggs last time? Thanks for the link.

Maybe they weren't fertilized because the parents are supposed to take care of them. Here a site that tells you about breeding them, http://www.aquariacentral.com/articles/dempsey.shtml

No, They are very good parents together...They take turns watching the eggs, they are a team....But they will have anywhere from 10 to 70 babies.

Your fish gained't mate until eventually eventually you remove the fry and then theirs no set time!Your fry will be effective for yet another month or so!they gained't be considered as a predator for an prolonged time! i remove my fry from my Jaguar cichlils 2 or 3 weeks after their born!I do bypass away a pair of dozen!

I work at Petsmart, and we make sure they are together. The mother protects the new eggs. Then the father protects the area, DO NOT seperapte them!!!
