On a keyboard, the letters are arranged by hand position and by
which letters are often used. For calculators this doesn't matter
since you only type with one hand and only type brief messages.

All I can tell you is how the key board your typing on got to be the way they are.

When the company had the idea of the keyboard they had a number of inventors to come up with a typing keyboard. One of these inventors had someone practice and practice on theirs so when all the keyboards were shown his was the only one that someone could get on and impressively type. Because of that this format for the keys was selected.

I easily have a calculator with the paper that prints out and the numbers are on the bottom. i have considered accountants use the paper calculators and would upload pages of numbers and in no way look on the reveal.

I... dont know. Its weird that theyre different, but maybe its so people dont confuse their phone with their calculators.
